Through a website called Savvy Source, we got a deep discount on a family membership to the Oakland Zoo. We went twice last week! This past autumn Eli didn't seem to get that much out of the zoo, but now he is fascinated by the animals but also the climbing sculptures in the children's section.
He seemed to like the giraffes and river otters best. Whenever the otters swam by, he would wave wildly at them and shout, "Hi! Hi! Hi!"

My primary camera is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel T5 with a Sigma DC 18-200mm lens (1:3.5-6.3) or Canon EFS 18-55mm lens. On occasion I also use my iPhone 6. For crisper images (when I'm not in a hurry to grab the shot), I use a Dolica Proline B100 tripod. I often tweak my images using Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.
A "man" after my own heart.......I have always been very fond of watching the otters as one of my fav things to do at zoos!! Eli has excellent taste...... ;o)
Love all the climbing sculptures for the children, too. So happy for you that you got a super discount and that you can go so often and that Eli is more able to enjoy and get more out of it this year!!
