"Now sit right here so I can take your picture. Don't move...."
I have to laugh when I look at my photos these days. I used to do slow, careful still life photographs with a pinhole camera. Now I have to shrug off methodical composition, elegant lighting, and such. Put that sucker on autofocus and click, click, click! But somehow I enjoy the photos and process just as much. It used to be that I looked back on old photos fondly. I still do. Now, however, I also look forward to the day when I can tell Eli the stories behind the images of his early years. "See these snapshots? These are a part of the million crazy, wonderful things about you that spilled over in your mama's heart!"
