It is fun to look back on what Eli was like at ages one and two. To keep up the tradition...
Eli at Age Three
Favorite Activities: Digging holes in sand or gravel, helping Mama bake or chop up veggies, watching construction vehicles at work, exploring playgrounds, play dates with buddies (especially if there are art projects involved), going to the beach, amusement park rides, and watching DVDs (twenty minutes per day of Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder, or tot documentaries about various vehicles)
Least Favorite Activities: When the fun is over and it is time for bed or to go home, although he's usually a good sport about it if you give him prior warning
Favorite Toys: Pig-It and Chip (Disney Pook-a-looz stuffed animals), big sand shovels, toy kitchen and ecoutrements, Duplo Legos, various construction trucks, play dough
Favorite Non-Toys: "Eli videos" (letting Eli pick three video clips of himself that I made with my point-and-shoot camera to view via computer), Granddad's remote control helicopter being flown for him
Favorite Foods: Fresh raspberries, crab rangoon dumplings, yogurt melts and yogurt in squeezie tubes, cupcakes, clementines, fortune cookies, rice n' beans, chocolate ice cream, smoothie packets (fruit and veggie puree in a pouch with a sippy top), string cheese, and melon
Least Favorite Foods: Mixed dishes with too many clumps of meat or veggies in them, frozen peas, and corn
Favorite Words/Sayings: "Where are we going now, Mama?" right after nap, "Uh oh, patio!" or "Oh, that's not good" after mishaps, "Oh my goodness!" if something is exciting, "Well, I'm a big boy now."
Scary Things: Nothing specific. At this point, mostly just bad dreams or very loud sudden noises.
Funny Things: Papa making pretend explosion noises for collapsing block towers or toy car collisions, kitchen accidents that result in some sort of a bonk or splat, Mama dancing with him in her arms (especially the dips), blowing raspberries
