Great idea, Diane!

We did this with our kids when they were little. We also taught them to keep good care of their toys so it would be good for whoever we passed it on to when we were done with them. We love shopping for toy drive gifts too. My kids are teens now, and very good about being grateful, and giving, I feel it really prepared them for a happier life.

Wonderful to hear of other parents doing this as well! Have a wonderful Christmas! :)

Thanks, April! I really like your point about making sure to take good care of things to be able to pass them along well. That concept makes so much sense for our belongings, but also our planet.

We are always talking to Chloe about the gimmes. I try to spread out Chloe's Dec bday gifts so that she has something to open in Jan, Feb...just so its not all in December. Anyhow, what a wonderful reminder, Val, to go & declutter at this time of year!

Thanks, Kristina! We miss you guys.

My primary camera is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel T5 with a Sigma DC 18-200mm lens (1:3.5-6.3) or Canon EFS 18-55mm lens. On occasion I also use my iPhone 6. For crisper images (when I'm not in a hurry to grab the shot), I use a Dolica Proline B100 tripod. I often tweak my images using Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.
