On Memorial Day we had a special opportunity to join the American Legion Auxiliary in their tribute to fallen soldiers and sailors. We took a boat around the edge of Tybee Island to place an anchor-shaped flotilla of poppies in the Atlantic Ocean.

My primary camera is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel T5 with a Sigma DC 18-200mm lens (1:3.5-6.3) or Canon EFS 18-55mm lens. On occasion I also use my iPhone 6. For crisper images (when I'm not in a hurry to grab the shot), I use a Dolica Proline B100 tripod. I often tweak my images using Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.
What a day it must have been. Thankful for your sharing.

I wore my poppies necklace from the British War Museum over the weekend with the rest of my American red, white and blue. Felt like honoring all sorts of soldiers. :)
